The 2008 fishing season was a success with an abundance of large King Salmon taken in June and July, we were off to a great start. The entire season brought mixed catches of Kings in all sizes. We netted Salmon over 25 lbs. in September, the biggest King weighing in at 28.6 lbs.
The Steelhead fishing was excellent. At times, limits were being caught with some trophy fish in the 15-17 lb. class, making this a hair raising fight back to the net. These fish were caught throughout the year with no one time being better than the next. When the trout were in, it was fast action.
We also caught a lot of Cohos and some real nice Lake Trout during the season, ending up with some very nice coolers of fish to show for it.
We know 2009 will bring more excitement with the fantastic fishing Lake Michigan has to offer. There is no other place on earth like it to catch such a wide variety of species at one time. You'll have to give it a try!
